Another Kingdom is Among Us...

All through Holy week, we waited... knowing what was about to come.  Jesus was betrayed into the hands of those who did not understand who He was.  He was executed as a criminal.  His dying was an agonizing process, during which he prayed, forgave, and promised heaven to his deathmate.  He endured the pain of wondering where his Heavenly Father was during his darkest moment.  It appeared that evil had won and defeat was cinched up.

But God had other plans:  plans to be glorified out of this most awful of human deeds.  Out of our worst actions, God poured out love, opened the curtain in the temple, making himself available to all for all time.

Then... Yes, Then... on the third day when ladies came to dress is dead body, they found the tomb EMPTY!
Death could not hold him.  The grave could not keep him in.    Sin did not win.
Thanks be to God, we have the victory through the risen Christ.

The life he now lives, he invites us to live, too.  Scripture says when we acknowledge that this life is his, giving it up for him, and we will find life.  Kingdom life here and now.  When all hope seems gone... we have a Savior who tells another story... one of overcoming.

All followers of the risen Christ, live like Easter people... filled with life and hope.
